The Cottage Market Headford had the genius idea to coincide its launch with the St. Patrick’s Day parade and use the opportunity to add to the festival atmosphere and show everyone just how much being part of the community means to them. A row of gazebos and trestle tables set the stage for 18 local producers selling everything from foraged foods, silverwork, vintage sewing patterns, quilts, kombucha to seedlings and seeds.

Kathleen, Chief Cottage Marketeer said, ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you to all that came to our market today and to all the traders. We had such a fabulous day, it was sunny, exciting, fun and a great buzz with all of the people around for the parade too! We are very excited about this venture and what it can do locally including reviving the age old tradition of a local out door market place for the community to gather and socialise.’
